The University of Lynchburg’s Beard Center on Aging will host its 2022 Regional 50+ Health Fair: Passport to Healthy Aging from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, at River Ridge Mall. Admission is free. The event is co-sponsored by a number of local organizations, including Centra.
The Health Fair will offer free health screenings for blood pressure, balance and strength, diabetes, and more. There also will be wellness demonstrations, door prizes, health information, and opportunities to interact with others.
Normally an annual event, the Regional 50+ Health Fair was last held in November 2019. The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic forced Beard Center director Denise Scruggs and her team to postpone the 2020 and 2021 fairs.
