Two University of Lynchburg theatre graduates attracted national media attention for a joint venture aimed at entertaining and educating children during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The project, Lend Me a Wolfbane, brings together Dustin Williams ’05, founder and artistic director of Wolfbane Productions, and Ellee Evans ’19, founder of Lend Me a Princess.
Stories about Lend Me a Wolfbane appeared in the Lynchburg News & Advance, The Washington Post, and U.S. News.
Williams’ Wolfbane Productions produces live shows from its theater in Appomattox, Virginia, and other venues, such as Appomattox Court House National Historical Park. Due to the pandemic, their 2020 season was postponed.
Lend Me a Princess, based in Lynchburg, provides princesses, superheroes, and other characters for birthday parties and events, with an emphasis on serving lower-income children and charitable events.
The two companies have worked together in the past and saw the current pandemic as a great time to collaborate again. Lend Me a Wolfbane started producing digital content in August with a planned debut on the streaming service Patreon in September.
