Lynchburg’s Professional Development Institute is introducing a new online Certified Wedding and Event Planning program, with the next cohort starting on Oct. 7, and future cohorts starting monthly.
This 12-week-long certification program is designed to provide practical training and industry insights, equipping aspiring event planners with the skills they need to succeed. It combines live class discussions, one-on-one mentorship, and opportunities to gain hands-on experience through real-world internships.
After completing the program, students will receive the CWEP credential. The program provides graduates with event planning tools, vendor management skills, and crisis management techniques.
Graduates will also have a comprehensive portfolio, which will prepare them for various roles such as Wedding Planner, Event Coordinator, Venue Manager, and more. The program is open to anyone passionate about event planning, including aspiring planners, business owners, creative designers, and event producers.
