The University of Lynchburg is inviting prospective students to a series of virtual and in-person events this spring.
The semester starts with several virtual information sessions, hosted weekly on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. by the Office of Enrollment Management. Topics range from how to transfer to Lynchburg to the Career and Professionalism Center. One session on Jan. 26 will include a “parent-to-parent” panel discussion. Check out our visit webpage to sign up for a session.

Also this spring, the University will host special events for admitted students called “Hornet Celebration Days.” The Saturday open house events will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 19; March 5 and 26; and, April 2 and 23 on campus.
Each day will include sessions specifically for students and parents. Students will attend a panel discussion with current Lynchburg students while their parents attend a financial aid session and meet with faculty. Afterward, attendees will continue to an academic fair, learn more about first-year programming, enjoy lunch on the Dell, and end with a campus tour.
Susan Hogg, Lynchburg’s director of admissions, said the admitted student events celebrate incoming Hornets’ accomplishments.
“We want them to know: ‘You’ve made an excellent choice. You’ve worked hard, you’ve applied to the University of Lynchburg, you’ve earned a scholarship, and we want to celebrate you at our Hornet Celebration Day!” she said.
Hogg encouraged admitted students to celebrate their acceptance and come visit the University to learn more about what it has to offer.
High school sophomores and juniors are invited to visit the University in April during Lynchburg’s Spring Visit Days. The dates are April 11-15 and April 18-22, with information sessions and campus tours happening at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.
Lynchburg will be offering a special night campus visit at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28 during our WonderHive winter festival.
As per the University’s COVID-19 guidelines, campus visitors must wear a mask when indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Those who have not been fully vaccinated must wear a mask during the full campus visit.
If you’re still uncomfortable visiting in person, there are several virtual opportunities available, and the next best thing to the University of Lynchburg’s campus visit is our virtual tour.
