The University of Lynchburg will hold a piano quartet concert on February 9th, 2019 at 7:30 in the evening that will last an hour. The concert will take place in the Sydnor Performance Hall, inside of Schewel Hall. Admission is free.
Noémi Lee, Joe Nigro, Christi Salisbury, and Teresa Angell are performing in the quartet.
Noémi Lee began her musical career in Romania, where she was born and raised. She is now an adjunct professor at the University of Lynchburg. She teaches piano and also has an independent studio in Lynchburg and actively performs around the city.
Joe Nigro is originally from New York City and graduated from the Manhattan School of Music. He has been in Lynchburg since 1995 teaching lessons and playing in the James String Quartet.
Christi Salisbury specializes in violin and is the concertmaster of the James String Quartet. She is an active performer and teacher. Salisbury also owns a business that rents instruments out to students in the Lynchburg area.
Lastly, Teresa Angell is an graduate of Lynchburg College, with a degree in cello performance and nursing. She served as a nurse, but now is the principal cellist of the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra and plays with the James Chamber Players. She also has a cello studio in Forrest.
The evening is sure to be filled with spectacular music from Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Handel.
