Coinciding with Lynchburg College’s transition to a new name and a new brand, the institution launched a new version of lynchburg.edu on Friday, June 29.
The new site design introduces the new name, University of Lynchburg, along with a design that is more mobile friendly. The content of the home page and top-level pages — such as admission and academics — that has been revised to reflect the University’s new brand and support student recruitment. Rather than focus on conveying information, the new pages emphasize the benefits of belonging to the University of Lynchburg community.
“The redesign coincides with the institutional rebrand that has been underway since last summer,” Mike Jones, assistant vice president for communications and marketing, said. “In keeping with our new brand initiatives and our strategic plan, Vision 2020, the new site is more outward facing and better supports key goals in undergraduate and graduate recruitment as well as in alumni engagement.”
Additional pages will be redesigned and revised in the coming months as communications and marketing staff work with faculty and staff from other departments.
Users of the new lynchburg.edu can ask questions and provide feedback in a form accessible in a link at the top of the site.
