Two professors and two graduates received national awards at the annual symposium of the Mid-America Athletic Training Association last week. Dr. Pat Aronson was inducted into the MAATA Athetic Training Hall of Fame, while Dr. Debbie Bradney received the MAATA Athletic Trainer Service Award.
Kirsten Blake ’18 was awarded the Larry Sutton Scholarship, recognizing her outstanding academic work in athletic training and supporting her as she continues to earn her master’s degree. Michelle Yando ’18 received the Bobby Gunn Student Leadership Award, which will help fund her trip to the National Athletic Trainers’ Association symposium in June.
Both Blake and Yando plan to continue their studies by pursuing master’s degrees in kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training at Indiana University.
