University of Lynchburg’s Senior Exhibition and Annual Juried Art Show will open at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Dillard Fine Arts Center.
The senior show, featuring work by graphic design students Ryan Creasy and Erin Womack and photographer Nat LeDonne, will be exhibited in the Daura Gallery. The students, all art majors, are exhibiting their work as part of their required senior thesis.
The Juried Art Show, including artwork by other students produced over the past academic year, will run simultaneously in the Lobby Gallery. “The Juried Art Show is our annual undergraduate exhibition that showcases the selected work of all of our students, freshman through seniors, in a variety of disciplines, including sculpture, photography, painting, drawing, and graphic design,” Ursula Bryant, associate professor of graphic design and chair of the art department, said.
Both shows will be judged by local artist and educator Kristin Harris, and some of the artwork will be available for purchase.
The exhibitions run through Friday, May 11. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
