A new iBook available in iTunes highlights how the University of Lynchburg nursing program used Apple technology to revolutionize nurse education.
Launched in 2014, iON Nursing provides an iPad tablet to each nursing major. The program has led to high-tech teaching , improved retention, higher NCLEX pass rates, and a decrease in paper usage. In the fall of 2017, the program received an honor as an Apple Distinguished School.
The iON Nursing iBook tells the story of the program using text, video, photography, and documents related to the launch and ongoing implementation of iON Nursing. It provides a unique glimpse into the nursing program at Lynchburg, as well a guide for schools that would like to implement a similar program into programs for nursing.
