The Lynchburg Hornets Sports Network has launched a new video series to highlight the way alumni have built on the education they received at University of Lynchburg. Titled “The Foundation,” the series will feature success in careers and other aspects of life.
Joe Hutzler, director of digital media initiatives for the athletics department, thought of the series after spending a day filming Andrew McKenna ’99 during the Lynchburg Air Show. As Hutzler pieced together a video from his interview with McKenna, he realized that it was an opportunity to highlight the stories of alumni.
The first installment of “The Foundation” was released June 5.
Hutzler hopes to feature alumni in “The Foundation” monthly and to include former student-athletes as well as non-athletes. “Whether you graduated in 2016 or 1967, you’re still a part of that foundation that has made the school what it is right now,” he said.
