Be a part of unlocking an additional $40,000 in gifts for scholarships on University of Lynchburg’s first Give Day.
University of Lynchburg will celebrate its first community-wide Give Day on April 6. The day invites Hornets from all around campus and around the globe to support LC. If at least 1,000 people make gifts to University of Lynchburg on Give Day, a small group of LC supporters will increase their giving by a combined total of $40,000 to support student scholarships.
Several members of the campus community — including faculty, coaches, and administrators — also plan to make challenges throughout the day to entice alumni, students, faculty, and staff to give.
As the community makes progress to the goal of 1,000 donors, students will take turns painting a chair red on the Dell. Live updates and interviews with LC students and other campus community members will be broadcast by the Lynchburg Hornets multimedia team, and news will also be shared on social media with the hashtag #paintitred.
Donations for Give Day can be made beginning at 12 a.m. Wednesday at a URL to be announced on the LC homepage and social media.
