University of Lynchburg continues to offer one of the nation’s best educational experiences for the best value, according to two sets of college rankings released this week.
USA Today and College Factual released their 2016 college rankings on Tuesday, followed by US News & World Report rankings on Wednesday.
LC appeared on two of the US News & World Report rankings lists. LC was ranked 32 for Best Regional Universities in the South category and 27 among the Best Colleges for Veterans in the South.
USA Today and College Factual ranked LC in the top 100 for Overall Best Colleges in the southeast and Best Colleges for The Money – All Students in the southeast. The College also fared above average in those categories at the national level.
The College also was ranked as a best value for academic programs in several categories, including social sciences, biological and biomedical sciences, business, management, and marketing, communications and journalism, English, health professions, and psychology.
The University of Lynchburg Women’s Soccer team and Men’s Lacrosse team both received top-50 spots in the national rankings. Men’s basketball and soccer and women’s basketball and softball also received above-average rankings.

Garren, president of University of Lynchburg. “Our academic and athletic programs aim to give students ‘Opportunities for Life,’ and our success in this goal is reflected in these latest rankings.”
