The University of Lynchburg Office of Community Involvement will host a Children’s Field Day on the Dell to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network on Saturday, May 2, from noon to 2 p.m.
The field day will include a variety of games and activities, including three-legged races, tug of war, 100 meter dashes, a balloon race, and pie throwing contests. Most activities are planned for children ages 6 and up, but other activities, including face painting, will be available for younger children. Ice cream will be served.
Admission is free, but donations will be accepted for the Children’s Miracle Network.
The LC Office of Community Involvement facilitates student engagement in activities that benefit other students and members of the surrounding community. Each year, LC students perform a total of about 60,000 hours of community service.
