The University of Lynchburg Choral Union and Concert Choir will present a joint concert on October 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Snidow Chapel to benefit the Lynchburg Branch of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Admission to the performance will be a donation of cash or five non-perishable food items.
The concert program will include “Homeward Bound” by Marta Keen; “Not One Sparrow is Forgotten,” a Shaker hymn; and “Now Sleeps the Crimson Petal” by Robert Young.
Both choirs are under the direction of Dr. Jong Kim, professor of music and program director of the MA in music program. Rebecca McCordandRose Peak will accompany the choral groups. Christi Salisbury is the violin soloist.
