University of Lynchburg is offering significant tuition support to special education teachers who are teaching on a conditional license for Special Education – General Curriculum or working toward that endorsement in a Virginia school division. Tuition support is available for selected courses that may be required for individuals seeking the special education-general curriculum endorsement.
Teachers may take one or more summer courses that will be offered May 20 – June 28 and include SPED 616-Psychoeducational Assessment, SPED 635-Social, Functional, and Transition Programming, and EDCI 617- Foundations and Curriculum of American Education.
Funding for tuition support has been made available through the Virginia Department of Education’s 2012-13 VDOE Traineeship for Education of Special Education Personnel for Regions 5, 6, and 8 Grant.
