Carlos Alemán, a former opera singer in Havana, Cuba, performed three arias and gave a presentation on Cuba in Spanish at 7 p.m. Nov. 28 in Dillard Theatre. He was accompanied on the piano by Naomi Amos, LC adjunct faculty in music. LC Spanish students also presented poems and songs in Spanish.
Alemán, who moved to Lynchburg in 2001, performed in various venues in Madrid, Spain from 1994 to 2001. While in Cuba, he performed at “Teatro Lírico de La Habana” and “Ópera nacional.”
