Former women’s lacrosse attack Lesley Buckingham scored three times in the North-South Senior All-Star Game after concluding her storied Hornet career in early May.
Buckingham, the program’s leading career goal and point scorer, competed Saturday, June 16 at the IWLCA/Under Armor Division III North-South Senior All-Star Game at the United Sports Training Center. She scored the South’s first and last goals, the final one pulling the team within one at 8-7 late in the second half. The North squad went on to win 10-7 despite three tallies from Buckingham.
“It was great to see Lesley play with some of the best players in the country,” said LC head coach Bruce Reid. “She concluded her playing career on a positive note and proved she is one of the top offensive players in the nation.”
Buckingham earned first-team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference, All-Chesapeake Region, and All-State accolades after a record-breaking season. She ranked 31st in NCAA Division III in points and 32nd in points-per game.
