Dr. Eric Goff, associate professor of physics, gets a gold medal for doing calculations to help a Wall Street Journal reporter with a story on the aerial acrobatics of Olympic skater Jeremy Abott.
After several phone calls and emails, plus a fair amount of calculating on Dr. Goff’s part over four days, the story appeared in print in the sports section, as well as online.
Dr. Goff is the author of Gold Medal Physics: The Science of Sports, a look at the physics behind the feats of great athletes.
