Ricky Flynn has earned first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American men’s track & field/cross country honors as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Flynn had a 3.54 grade-point average in his undergraduate studies and has a 3.46 while pursuing his master’s degree in business administration at LC. He was named the Division III Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was awarded a scholarship by the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Committee for part-time or full-time postgraduate study to continue his studies at University of Lynchburg.
Flynn earned athletic All-American honors four times in outdoor track, once in indoor competition, and twice in cross country. He was the national champion in cross country this fall, the first-ever Hornet to achieve that feat.
