The Fort Lee Army Ensemble will perform selections representing a wide range of composers and musical styles, from Gabrielli to Hindemith; from Bach to the Beatles; and from blues to modern jazz at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 26, in Sydnor Performance Hall, Elliot & Rosel Schewel Hall.
The Fort Lee Army Band 392nd Army Band is a 40-soldier band made up of musicians from all over the country. The band has 11 different working ensembles from traditional marching and concert bands to rock band and chamber ensembles including a brass quintet and trombone quartet. The band performs at military ceremonies and community events in southern Virginia and the southeastern United States.
Fort Lee is located in the Tri-Cities area (Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights), about 30 minutes south of Richmond, Va.
