The Music Department will present its fourth Esther C. Olin Lecture Recital Series on Piano Performance January 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Sydnor Performance Hall, Elliot & Rosel Schewel Hall.
Twentieth-Century Music for Piano: An American Tradition is the theme for the program, which will feature Dr. Cynthia Ramsey, assistant professor of music, and performers: Noémi Otto, instructor of piano; F. Johnson Scott III, instructor of music; Dana Ballard, staff accompanist; Francis Longaker ’09; Matthew Booth ’11, music performance and mathematics; Alexandra Curinga ’13, music performance and communication studies.
The lecture/recital series was established by the LC Music Program to honor Esther Olin, retired piano and composition professor, who taught at the College for more than 20 years.
