Dr. Brian Crim, assistant professor of history, was accepted for the 2011 Jack and Anita Hess Seminar for Faculty: “Teaching about the Holocaust through Eyewitness Testimony: Using Interviews and Memoirs in the Classroom,” in January at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Participants in the seminar are chosen competitively from a broad spectrum of college and university faculties, including: Boston College, Brandeis University, Georgetown University, Indiana University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
“This adds to his impressive credentials in the area of World War II history and Holocaust Studies,” said Dr. Kirt von Daacke, chair of the history department. “Last summer he was also accepted as a scholarly participant in the prestigious Holocaust Education Foundation’s Summer Institute at Northwestern University, and he has also won a German American Commission Fulbright research fellowship.”
