This Courageous Conversan will dive into the definition of microaggressions, the types of microaggressions, and how to recognize and respond to those verbal and nonverbal microaggressions at work, school, and everyday life.
Danielle Whitted is the Equity Advancement Manager for YWCA Central Virginia with over 7 years of experience working with the community in providing equitable and accessible services in non-profit, foster care, and mental health sectors. Her current position is dedicated to working to address concerns or issues of racial and social injustices, advocacies of local and state legislations, as well as educating the community on issues that affect women but in particular women of color and other marginalized communities. Much of Danielle’s professional and volunteer work seeks to advocate for equitable rights for marginalized communities by using a trauma informed and social justice lens.
