Opening Reception and Lecture

A flyer for the opening reception and lecture on Thursday, March 28.  The reception begins at 6 p.m. and the lecture begins at 7 p.m. A headshot of Allen TenBusschen and a self portrait of Pierre Daura.  Feature art work: Pierre Daura self-portraits, a lifetime of artistic practice, viewed through the lens of the self-portrait. Allen's lecture is titled "between likeness and essence."

A reception for “Pierre Daura: Self-Portraits.” The exhibition will feature a lifetime of artistic practice, viewed through the lens of the self-portrait. The reception will begin at 6 p.m. while the lecture begins at 7 p.m.

Additionally, the evening will include a lecture by art professor Allen Ten Bussuchen titled “Between Likeness and Essence.” The lecture will discuss how a portrait can go beyond mere likeness and reveal authenticity, whether it is about the sitter, the artist, or even the audience.
