Dr. Holly Anthony Pinheiro is an assistant professor of history at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. His research focuses on the intersectionality of race, gender, and class in the military from 1850 through the 1910s.


This event is part of the 2020-21 John M. Turner Lecture in the Humanities and is co-sponsored by the Black History Month Planning Committee.
