5 p.m., the Dell (rain location: Burton Dining Room)
Each spring semester, all seniors will participate in one of four assessments, i.e., Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA), Information Literacy Test (Project SAILS), Nelson-Denny Reading Test, or Quantitative Literacy & Reasoning Assessment (QLRA).
- Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA)
- Information Literacy Test (Project SAILS)
- Nelson-Denny Reading Test
- Quantitative Literacy & Reasoning Assessment (QLRA)
A select group of sophomores are given the CLA as part of the WE Write for Success initiative.
**Transfer students are currently not given the CLA but are still eligible to take the Information Literacy Test (SAILS), the Nelson-Denny Reading Test, or the QLRA.**

If you have received a letter or email, you are expected to participate in Red Letter Day. Please login and refer to myLC to verify your testing time and location.
Excused absences (with documentation) include:
- Personal legal (ex. court appointment)
- Personal medical
- Military duty
- Family funeral
Absences must have proper documentation. A student has until five (5) days after Red Letter Day to bring documentation of absence to the Associate Dean’s Office.
Note: Final determination of validity will be made by the Associate Dean’s Office.
