International Education Week 2013

LC is participating in International Education Week, Nov. 11-15, with a food festival, lecture on Arab Spring, Latin jazz, and more.

Monday

International Food Festival featuring food prepared by students and faculty from around the world, Memorial Ballroom, 3:30-5:30 p.m

Tuesday

World Languages Lunch and Learn: Visit a table to learn/practice a foreign language and learn about cultural practices in Burton Dining Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Wednesday

Study Abroad Breakfast in the McFrack Lobby, 7:30-9:30 a.m.

 “Arab Spring: Perspectives from the Middle East.” Dr. Nihad Albatikhi, visiting scholar from Jordan, Hopwood Auditorium, 4 p.m.

Thursday

Boost Your Resume: Benefits of International Experiences, Hopwood Auditorium, 4 p.m.

Live Latin Jazz by Quintana, Dining Hall, 5-7 p.m.

Friday

Lynchburg Salsa at Dance Theatre of Lynchburg, 9 p.m. to midnight. Transportation provided.

International Education Week is co-sponsored by the Department of State and Department of Education to raise global awareness and promote international exchange activities.
