Economic Outlook Conference

Since 1990, the School of Business and Economics, in conjunction with the Lynchburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, has organized an annual economic outlook conference for members of the regional business community.

This year’s keynote address, given this by Roy Webb, Senior Economist with the Richmond Federal Reserve Bank, focused on emerging trends in the national economy and their implications for economic growth over the next 12 months. Economic prospects for the region – formally, the Lynchburg MSA, which consists of the cities of Lynchburg and Bedford and the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell – were discussed by Dr. Joe Turek, Dean of the School of Business and Economics.
