Hornet Days: 72 hours + 525 first-year students + 40 Connection Leaders + 18 Resident Assistants + 2 residence halls + a new campus to explore!
Be prepared to say “cheese,” climb a wall, play Bingo, serve your greater Lynchburg community, discover who’s living next door and get ready for the first day of classes.
You’ll get a chance to volunteer throughout the Lynchburg community during the Service Plunge. Volunteerism is important at Lynchburg, where your peers donate 70,000 community service hours annually.
You will learn about the importance of our Honor and Student Code of Conduct and share your perceptions on the year’s Common Reading.
Finally, you’ll kick off the year with Convocation, your formal welcome to the University. The ceremony serves as one bookend to your college education – the other is graduation! Believe it or not, four years pass very quickly.
Welcome to University of Lynchburg. It’s going to be a great year.
