The University of Lynchburg is opening a new “Future Program” for students who are a part of Lynchburg Beacon of Hope‘s “Stay Close, Go Far” scholarship program. Starting Fall 2021, this program will help students find out what they want to do before it’s time to join the workforce.
Students will have the opportunity to get connected with other students in the program, explore their academic and professional purpose, and develop essential skills to aid in their success. The scholarship program gives up to $8,000 per student over four years so they can go to Lynchburg, or other nearby colleges and technical schools.
Below is an overview of what the Future Program looks like at the University of Lynchburg. Students who transfer into Lynchburg as part of the “Stay Close, Go Far” initiative, would begin this program during year two or three. This would depend on the number of credit hours they transfer.
