Welcome to the University of Lynchburg!
We are looking forward to you joining the Hive! Hornet Days is Aug. 16-21, 2024. Please stop by the Hornet Table, located near Hopwood Hall, and pick up your t-shirt for the class photo. Line-up for the photo will take place at approximately 5 p.m. All students are highly encouraged to attend all of the events (some are mandatory so check the schedule), and parents are welcome. Anyone planning to attend the parent sessions during Hornet Days should email to RSVP. Here is some other important information you may need:
Checking In
After the class photo, we will be having the first Dinner on the Dell. After dinner, you will check in before departing campus. You will receive a folder with the Hornet Day schedule and your group assignment and have an opportunity to meet your Hornet Crew Leader.
University of Lynchburg Identification Cards
Student identification cards can be picked up in the Solutions Center which is located in Drysdale Student Center, 2nd floor. A Campus Safety and Security representative will be available Monday – Friday; 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. to assist our students with this. On weekends, students can visit the Campus Safety and Security Information Center located on the first floor of the Hall Campus Center.
Parking Decals
Parking decals will be available in the Solutions Center, located in Drysdale Student Center, 2nd floor. A Campus Safety and Security representative will be available Monday – Friday; 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. to assist students. On weekends, students can visit the Campus Safety and Security Information Center located on the first floor of the Hall Campus Center.
Additional Information
All students will now be able to access the University Solutions Center, conveniently located in Drysdale Student Center, 2nd floor, Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. In this one-stop shop, you will find helpful representatives from Financial Aid, the Business and Finance office, Information and Technology Resources (ITR), and Housing to name a few. You will be able to get the help you need here.
