We’re building a new residence hall by Shellenberger Field. This means saying goodbye to McWane Hall, which served the Lynchburg College community for more than 50 years.
Demolition work began inside McWane in May 2018, and exterior demolition will take place throughout June. The new residence hall will be ready for Fall 2019 move-in day. Learn more about the new building below.

A new place to call home
Our new residence hall will redefine the campus living experience at the University of Lynchburg. Its semi-suite rooms, flexible common areas, and outdoor terraces will make it a coveted place to live. It will have place to read a book alone, study with a group, or have fun with friends.
It also will house the Westover Honors College, a living-learning community for academically gifted students. By having classrooms, study areas, and faculty offices near the students’ living areas, the new program will strengthen advising and learning.
