Hello and welcome to Drysdale Student Center!
This extraordinary facility was built just for you! Over 93% of the space is dedicated student space, your space. So whether you’re meeting in one of the four conference rooms, working out in the state of the art cardio lab, planning an event in Pete’s Place, grabbing a bite to eat at On Common Ground, or just shooting some pool, I think you will find that Drysdale Student Center is a point of pride for all of us.
The building was designed around four college values: leadership, service, diversity, and wellness. Every space in the building supports one of these community values and thus supports you in your own development and growth. The only offices in this building are ones that directly support students in their co-curricular activities. In Drysdale you’ll find the Office of Student Activities, the Office of Community Involvement, the Bonner Leader Program, and the Multicultural Center. These offices are dedicated to providing you with opportunities to expand your horizons and will support you as you make an impact here at LC.
Make sure you take time to enjoy the exterior of the building too — there are three balconies, a fountain, flowers, and gardens. And please remember to stop by the Hub in the lobby on the first floor. The donor board is a work of art that was designed by John Crank, an alum of University of Lynchburg. It beautifully demonstrates the number of friends, families, and alums that gave selflessly to make our dream of a new student center become a reality. They have paid it forward and we hope that one day you will be able to do the same and see your name on a donor board here at LC. Enjoy the Drysdale Student Center! It’s a great day to be a Hornet!
