A research paper by Rick Smallshaw ’24, a history major and Westover Honors Fellow at the University of Lynchburg, placed second this spring in the regional Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society paper competition.
Taylor Morgan ’24 recently placed second in the Sherwin-Williams Outstanding Student Scholarship Award competition. The program, administered by the Council for Retail Sales at DeSales University, challenged college and university students to create an executive summary and video presentation about “the future of the retailing industry.”
When she was a first-year student at the University of Lynchburg, Ellen Druebbisch ’21 made a promise to herself. “I made a pact … to make the most out of my four years in college and to be as involved as I could be, so that’s what I did,” she said.
