Westover Honors Fellow named Sommerville Scholar
Alexis Eckert ’25, a Westover Honors Fellow from Alton, New Hampshire, has been named the University of Lynchburg’s 2024-25 Richard Clarke Sommerville Scholar. The award, the University’s highest academic honor, was presented on Thursday, Nov. 14, in Drysdale Student Center’s West Room.

Each spring, art lovers from across the campus and greater community flock to the Daura Gallery for the Senior Thesis Exhibition, a display of artwork created by graduating graphic design and studio art students. This year, due to COVID-19, the exhibit is being presented online, as what art department chair and graphic design professor Ursula Bryant describes as a “digital showcase.”
