On Wednesday the University of Lynchburg held its "courageous conversations" series in honor of M-L-K Day.

The keynote speaker was activist Penny Blue, a Rocky Mount native, Hampton University graduate, and author.

During her address, Blue said "King did more than dream", she said it's important to teach children where they come from so they know where they're going.
