Joetricia Humbles of Appomattox for Equality speaks at Univ. of Lynchburg

On May 4, Lead Agent for Appomattox for Equality and Appomattox native Joetricia Humbles presented at 6:30 p.m. at the West Room in University of Lynchburg’s Drysdale Student Center to have a courageous conversation with University of Lynchburg students regarding mental health.  

“I hope this will open doors for more collaboration with various other community agencies to provide services to the Appomattox Community,” Humbles said. 

The event enabled Humbles to raise awareness about mental health problems in the Appomattox community and throughout the country, use her years of educational and volunteer experience in a positive way, and answer many pressing questions of University of Lynchburg students and City of Lynchburg youth. 

First, Humbles raised awareness about how dangerous mental health problems are in Appomattox and other rural areas.
