The University of Lynchburg proudly announces the appointment of Price Jett as its new vice president for finance and operations and chief financial officer.
Jett, an experienced and visionary financial leader, brings a wealth of expertise, having managed over $1.1 billion assets during his tenure as chief financial officer at the International Mission Board (IMB).
At IMB, Jett spearheaded the creation of the organization’s first-ever $100 million quasi-endowment, a landmark achievement in the company’s history. Additionally, he oversaw the management of $500 million in reserves and permanent endowments, highlighting his stewardship of substantial financial resources.
Before his impactful service at IMB, Jett served as a senior executive at the Corporate Executive Board, now Gartner Group, where he played a key role within the CFO best practices organization.
Jett holds an MBA from Cornell University and earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Mary Washington. With a career in both corporate and nonprofit spheres, he is eager to contribute his expertise to the University of Lynchburg’s strategic initiatives.

Jett and his wife, Deidre Glista Jett, have been married for 26 years. Together, they have three children, two dogs, and a donkey named Sparkles. The Jett family is excited to become part of the vibrant Lynchburg community.
