The University of Lynchburg Democrats will host a primary debate for the 6th Congressional District Democratic candidates from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 23, in Hall Campus Center’s Memorial Ballroom. The public is invited and admission is free.
The candidates include Peter Volosin, of Roanoke; Jennifer Lewis, of Augusta County; Charlotte Moore, of Roanoke; and Sergio Coppola, of Rockingham County. The 6th District extends roughly along I-81 from Salem to Strasburg and includes the City of Lynchburg.
“The University of Lynchburg Democrats are very excited to host their first debate as a registered club on campus,” Carter Elliott ’19, club founder and president, said. “All four Democratic congressional candidates in the 6th District will be in attendance. The 6th District is truly blessed to have so many wonderful candidates for this year’s election and we are proud to give the Lynchburg area the opportunity to hear from them about their life experiences and policy issues.”
