Olympic distance runner Molly Huddle will speak at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, September 21, at Sydnor Performance Hall in Schewel Hall. Her lecture is part of the festivities for the Virginia Ten-Miler, which will be held in Lynchburg on Saturday, September 23.
Huddle set an American record (30:13) for the 10,000-meter in 2016 at the Rio Olympics. She also holds the American record for the 5,000-meter (14:42) and placed third overall at the 2016 New York City Marathon, her first race at that distance.
At the event, Huddle will talk about her experiences as an elite runner. The lecture is free and open to the public.
