The book is a series of testimonials from prison inmates in the state of Virginia. A group of community activists are working to educate area at-risk youth that may be walking a thin line between freedom and incarceration.
“Our dramatic adaptation uses testimonials from the book as well as research we have conducted on our own to examine both our personal responsibility and societal responsibility in dealing with incarceration in America,” said Geoffrey Kershner, assistant professor of theatre.
