A weekend of dance and music awaits members of the Westover Alumni Society and the Lynchburg community.

Dance WorksSpring Dance Concert presents “Masquerade” with staff-, alumni- and student-choreographed pieces performed in a variety of dance styles. Two faculty choreographers are Megan Emanuel ’01, ’09 MEd and Ryan Moody ’14, two alumni choreographers, Brooke Bromery ’13 and Mandi Dolan ’13, as well as eight student choreographers. Dancers are Sydney Anderson, Paige Beer, Lexius Barr, Annie Besterman, Megan Campbell, Kendall Faris, Kathleen Fitzpatrick, Emily Gantt, Becky Johnson, Madeline Light, Jill McGarrity, Katie Miller, Jordan Phillips, Jessica Riccio, Whitney Scharpf, Tori Travers, Chelsea Williams, and Amber Zabinsky. University of Lynchburg Concert Choir Spring Concertof choral and vocal chamber musical selections by members of the LC Concert Choir conducted by Dr. Jong Kim. Snidow Chapel, University of Lynchburg, 7:30 p.m. The Concert Choir will also perform Sunday, April 27, at 6 p.m. in Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, Springfield, Virginia. Both concerts are free.
The 33-voice auditioned ensemble will perform selections including If Ye Love Me by Philip Wilby, Cantate Domino by Claudio Monteverdi, Beati quorum via by Charles Villars Stanford, Song of Triumph by Dale Grotenhuis, The Pasture by Randall Stroope, Earth Song by Frank Ticheli, Three Australian Bush Songs by Iain Grandage, Worthy To Be Praised by Byron Smith, The Road Home by Stephen Paulus, and other selections.
