Baby brook trout raised at University of Lynchburg’s Claytor Nature Study Center in Bedford County will be released into Little Stony Creek at noon Saturday, May 1, as part of a nationwide education program called “Trout in the Classroom.” http://www.troutintheclassroom.org/
The Skyline Chapter of Trout Unlimited provided the equipment used for rearing the trout and is participating in the release along with University of Lynchburg students. The group will meet at the Peaks of Otter picnic area on Route 43 just off the Blue Ridge Parkway at Mile Post 86.
