“Leaps and Bounds,” a one-woman show that explores the intersection of faith, ecology, and the global economy, will come to University of Lynchburg at 7 p.m. May 25 in Sydnor Performance Hall, Schewel Hall. Free-will offerings are welcome.
The performance by Tevyn East combines storytelling, movement, music, poetry and song to portray the deepening ecological and economic crises. The show is sponsored by the LC Chaplain’s Office in conjunction with the Year of Sustainability.
The Affording Hope Project, based in Summerfield, N.C., was founded by East. She has performed in more than 40 cities across the country. “Leaps and Bounds” is now on its second nationwide tour, circulating among a variety of faith communities and institutions of higher learning.
