University of Lynchburg is offering Central Virginia Community College students an opportunity to purchase student activities passes to allow them to participate in all events sponsored by the Student Activities and Leadership Programs.
“We want our community college partner students to have the opportunity to experience college life ‘after hours’ and participate in some of the things that CVCC may not be able to offer,” said B.J. Keefer-Abell, director of Student Activities and Leadership Programs. “We typically invite CVCC students to some of our larger events throughout the year and for us this was just the next logical step.”
University of Lynchburg signed a guaranteed admission agreement with the Virginia Community College System in 2007. It stipulates that students with associate degrees in Arts, Science, or Arts and Science who have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher are eligible for the guaranteed transfer of up to 76 credit hours.
Student activities include concerts, lectures, sporting events, and outdoor leadership development programs. The passes, which cost $60 per semester or $100 per year, are available now through Sept. 11. LC will be selling passes on CVCC’s campus Sept. 4. Students unable to purchase passes on that date may contact keefer_b@lynchburg.edu.
