Biography: Dr. McDowell is a dual certified nurse practitioner in women’s health and adult gerontology primary care currently working in an outpatient urology clinic. She also serves as the director of APP Education for a local healthcare system where she ensures available educational opportunities for APPs throughout the system . She is president-elect of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, where she helps champion professional growth and practice excellence for nurse practitioners across the state.
