Director of Technology Support Services

Lynchburg College seeks a Director of Technology Support Services to manage its technology support operation including hardware, software and audio-visual purchase, installation, and maintenance. The candidate will supervise and work with the technology support services staff in the installation, upgrade, troubleshooting, and repair of computer hardware, software and audio-visual equipment in computer classrooms, laboratories, and faculty/staff offices.

The candidate must have experience with analyzing and evaluating hardware and other technology equipment needs, demonstrate an ability to work with a broad spectrum of faculty and staff, and have experience with project management in a technology setting. Minimum qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field (Master’s preferred), two or more year’s supervisory experience, and a broad range of experience and knowledge of computer hardware, software, and audio/visual equipment, especially an ability to diagnose problems.  Experience working in a college environment is a plus. Excellent English language oral and written skills are required for effective communication. Selected candidate must successfully pass a background check.
