Assistant/Associate Professor of Developmental Biology
The Biology Department at Lynchburg College invites applicants for a three-year position, with possible conversion to tenure-track, beginning in August 2013.
Candidates should have a PhD degree by the starting date; ABDs may be considered. Individuals with broad training in biology are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include teaching developmental biology, human and vertebrate anatomy and physiology, introductory biology and an advanced course at the undergraduate level in specialty area. Active personal research/professional development and research with undergraduate students is expected. Teaching experience is desired, and a primary interest in teaching undergraduates at a liberal arts institution is a must. Selected candidate must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the College.
