You must meet the master’s degree admission requirements to be admitted to the Counselor Education program.
Please use the counselor education recommendation form for the three required recommendations.
The Counselor Education faculty also require a personal interview for all students seeking the MEd degree. This interview provides you an opportunity to discuss educational and career goals.
When we have received all of your application materials, you will be notified by the Office of Graduate Studies and given instructions on whom to contact for the interview.
If you are interested in taking counseling courses (i.e., courses with the prefix of COUN) as a non-degree student, you may be admitted to take up to 6 hours of graduate credit. If you wish to continue beyond 6 hours, you may then pursue admission as a degree-seeking graduate student in the MEd program.
