Elmer Hoeksema, MBA
Elmer started his career in the field of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), working as a field engineer for Cargill food processing plants, while simultaneously working as a business process manager at the cellular network operator branch of Daimler-Benz. This reflects his interest in the inner working of digital technology and the innovation this digital technology enables in the business context. As a consultant he worked for the Dutch Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Dutch National Police Department, large telecom operators like British Telecom, the Dutch IRS, and large banks like ING. For over 20 years he has been teaching and researching computer science and cyber security.
Arjen Jansen, MS
Arjen has studied Computer Science at the University of Amsterdam with a special interest in Computer Architecture and Artificial Neural Networks. He started his working career at IBM where he worked as an IT Architect on large software development projects, co-developer of the SNMP agent for IBM’s Watson Research Centre and participated in the re-design of Philips’ world wide internal network. In 1997 Arjen founded a small software development company that created products for Philips manufacturing, Samsung logistics and numeral financial and insurance organizations in the Netherlands. For several years Arjen has focused his interest on education especially in the field of Cyber Security.
